Director of Sales

National healthcare distribution business based in Northeast, OH

Privately held national healthcare distribution business based in Northeast, OH is seeking a Director of Sales. They were a pioneer in the diabetes supply industry and were the first company to partner with a diabetes manufacturer to design a Medicare and Medicaid diabetes program geared to the Medicare provider market. Today, our Client's Medicare, Medicaid and Medical Benefit diabetes program has expanded to include all major diabetes manufacturers. In addition to diabetes supplies, our client Company supplies durable medical equipment needs and is an authorized distributor for many manufacturers.

Primary Responsibility

Reporting to the Vice President / General Manager, the Director of Sales will be responsible for maximizing revenue by effectively leading and directing the Company’s sales organization.

Key Duties and responsibilities

•The development and implementation of action plans that aligned with company objectives and achieve annual sales and gross profit objectives.

•Manage, train, and mentor sales personnel.

•Assist in closing key account sales.

•Develop relationships and maintain rapport with key account executives

•Produce monthly reports to management in terms of goal attainment.

•Stay abreast of all trends within the industry and work in conjunction with management to ensure the Company maintains a current product offering.

•Stay abreast of all competitor information to include product lines, pricing, and marketing strategy.

Key Requirements

•Bachelors’ degree with 10- 15 years of business accomplishment.

•Executive ability to plan and direct all aspects of the organization’s sales & marketing procedures, objectives and P/L initiatives.

•Extensive experience welcomed in pharmacy operations and/or medical disposable products.

•Proven track record of achieving sales results, setting performance goals, optimizing internal processes, implementing market entry plans and generating profit.

•Superior proficiency with all MS Office products, specifically Excel.

•Superior proficiency with CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.com

•Moderate travel required (one or two times per month).

This is a full-time salaried position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday. Hours of operation are flexible as determined by the Vice President/General Manager.
