CMS Announces Start of Phase 1: Bid Preparation for Round 2028 DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program

CMS has begun Phase 1: Bid Preparation for Round 2028 of the DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program. CMS provided multiple resources as of June 4, 2026, and suppliers should review all materials to prepare for bidding. Notably this marks the first time CMS has disclosed the list of non-lead items and their ratios to the lead items, both of which can be found in the CBIC’s bidding calculator.
