Ohio Providers Needed to Respond to Rural and Underserved Health Task Force RFI Due Nov. 29

The U.S. House of Representatives’ Ways and Means Rural and Underserved Health Task Force has just issued a “Request for Information” (RFI) to gain input on priority topics that affect health status and outcomes. These priorities will be considered and discussed in sessions of this Task Force as they work to identify bipartisan policy options that can improve care delivery and health outcomes within these communities. We encourage OAMES members to participate given Ohio Congressman Rep. Brad Wenstrup role as a co-chair.

The full RFI can be viewed here – it includes a brief list of 10 questions and the due date for submissions is close of business on Fri., Nov. 29. It is critical that this important task force hears from HME communities and we need Rep. Wenstrup to hear from Ohio providers. We also encourage you to share with case managers and discharge planners as their voices need to be heard as well. Time is tight but please use this opportunity to submit your comments on poor reimbursement and the reflection this is having on access issues for Medicare beneficiaries.

You may want to use the following document to help you with your comments – thank you to VGM’s Government relations team for information about the RFI notice:
