Deadline to Apply: November 4, 2019

AAPD is excited to announce that we have officially opened the applications for our 2020 Summer Internship Program! Please help us spread the word to students with disabilities across the country. The American Association of People with Disabilities is a convener, connector, and catalyst for change, increasing the political and economic power of people with disabilities.

Through our Summer Internship Program, AAPD places college students, graduate students, and recent graduates with disabilities in internship with Congressional offices, federal agencies, non-profits, and Fortune 500 companies in the Washington, DC area. Each intern is matched with a mentor who will assist them with their career goals. AND AAPD provides the interns with a living stipend, transportation to and from Washington, DC, and fully-accessible housing.

AAPD summer interns have worked for Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Representative Paul Ryan, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the Institute for Educational Leadership, American Airlines, Centene Corporation, and over 40 other placements.
